Unfold

and i dissect
performing autopsies
on all the faded memories
you left in your wake
cracking open the ribs of
old conversations
hoping to find
a pulse
a truth
a reason why
you broke me
i spit out my anger
and it is enough
to fill a bathtub

but in my rage
i am still empty
hate cannot heal
a pain like this

so instead
i turn my heart
into a flower
and out of a split seed
it blossoms

i turn my anger into
forgivness
and it is breaking me
